About This Scholarship
HEC Paris Equal Opportunity Scholarship 2027: Funding Strategy & Cost Breakdown
The HEC Paris Equal Opportunity Scholarship offers international candidates up to a 35% tuition reduction on Master’s programs (such as the Master in Management or MSc tracks).
Because HEC Paris is one of Europe’s premier business schools, competition for financial assistance is high, and a 35% discount still leaves a substantial funding gap that applicants must plan for independently.
1. Real Cost Breakdown: What Does 35% Off Actually Save You?
To evaluate whether this scholarship makes HEC Paris affordable for you, review the exact expected outlay for international (non-EU) students over a 2-year Master’s degree:
| Fee Category | Standard Amount | With Max 35% Scholarship | Notes |
| Total 2-Year Tuition | ~€60,900 | ~€39,585 | Includes the €2,000 international student supplement. | | Application Fee | €180 | €180 | Mandatory, non-refundable. | | Seat Confirmation Deposit | €5,000 | €5,000 | Deducted from total tuition upon admission. | | Estimated Living Expenses | €1,500 / month | €1,500 / month | Cover accommodation in Jouy-en-Josas/Paris, food, health insurance, and transit. | | Total Expected Outlay (2 Years) | ~€96,900 | ~€75,585 | Tuition + 24 months of living costs combined. |
Note: The scholarship applies strictly to tuition fees and is deducted directly from your invoice. It does not provide a monthly stipend for room and board.
2. Eligibility & Strict Exclusions
HEC Paris enforces tight rules regarding who can access need-based support:
- Eligible Applicants: Non-French citizens applying directly to an HEC Paris Master's program who have not yet commenced studies in France.
- Ineligible Applicants: French nationals, dual-citizens holding French citizenship, and international students already enrolled or living/studying in France.
- Financial Need Baseline: You must demonstrate that your family or personal income falls significantly below the threshold required to cover standard HEC Paris tuition without assistance.
3. How to Prove "Financial Need" in Your Application
Once you submit your primary admissions application through the HEC Portal, the Needs-Based Scholarship Form unlocks in your Applicant Space. To avoid instant disqualification, prepare these documents in advance:
- Tax Returns & Official Proof of Income: Recent tax assessments for yourself and/or your parents/guardians covering the last two fiscal years.
