About This Job
Senior SEO & GEO Specialist at Manaferra: Building Visibility Across Traditional Search and AI-Powered Experiences
Search visibility is no longer limited to conventional search-engine results pages. Organizations now need to consider how their information appears in both traditional rankings and in AI-generated answers, summaries and recommendation experiences. This shift has created demand for specialists who understand classic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) while also exploring Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) the emerging practice of improving how brands, content and entities are represented in AI-powered search environments.
Manaferra is looking for a Senior SEO & GEO Specialist to help organizations improve their visibility in both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search experiences. The role brings together two related areas of digital visibility. SEO focuses on improving how websites perform in conventional search engines, while GEO focuses on how information and organizations are represented in AI-generated search and answer experiences.
The successful candidate will work on strategy rather than only performing individual optimization tasks. The role involves analysing websites, identifying opportunities, developing recommendations, monitoring results and communicating with clients. It is designed for an experienced professional who can move from technical diagnosis to clear, actionable strategy and who can explain recommendations in language that non-specialists understand.
Why SEO and GEO Are Being Combined
Traditional SEO remains foundational. Technical health, content quality, on-page structure, internal linking and competitive positioning continue to influence how websites appear in search results. At the same time, generative AI systems are increasingly used by people seeking answers, summaries and recommendations. These systems draw on web content, structured information and entity signals in ways that differ from classic ranking algorithms.
GEO is still an evolving discipline. It involves understanding how AI systems surface, attribute and present information, and then developing practical approaches that improve the likelihood of accurate and favourable representation. Organizations that treat GEO as an extension of existing SEO strategy rather than an entirely separate activity are better positioned to adapt as AI search experiences continue to develop.
A specialist who can work across both areas offers practical value: the ability to maintain strong traditional search performance while beginning to address visibility in newer AI-driven interfaces.
Key Responsibilities in Context
1. SEO audits
The role includes analysing websites to identify technical, content, on-page and other search-visibility issues. Effective audits go beyond checklist-style findings. They prioritize problems according to likely impact, distinguish between quick wins and structural issues, and provide a clear basis for strategy. Strong audit work helps clients understand where effort should be focused and why.
