About This Job
The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health is seeking a part-time consultant to support communications, advocacy and regional engagement activities. The role is home-based and provides an opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the work of an international public-health partnership.
The consultancy is focused on strengthening communication, advocacy and engagement activities that support maternal, newborn and child health priorities. The successful consultant may contribute to the development of communication materials, policy resources, reports, advocacy products and other content designed for international and regional audiences.
The role may involve working with colleagues and stakeholders from different countries and professional backgrounds. Depending on the specific assignment, the consultant may support content development, media engagement, policy communication, regional programming, stakeholder coordination and the preparation of materials used to communicate public-health priorities.
This opportunity may be particularly suitable for communications professionals, policy specialists, advocacy practitioners, public-health professionals and international development specialists with strong writing and editing abilities. Candidates who have experience working with public-health programmes, international organizations, advocacy initiatives or policy institutions may find the consultancy especially relevant.
The home-based arrangement provides flexibility while also requiring the consultant to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different locations and time zones. Applicants should therefore be comfortable working remotely, managing assignments independently and participating in meetings during the required working hours.
Eligibility:
-
Applicants should have strong writing, editing and proofreading skills and be able to produce clear, accurate and professional communications materials.
-
Applicants should have relevant experience developing communications products for professional, policy, advocacy, public-health or international development audiences.
