About This Conference
The ENETS Travel Grant 2027 supports early-career physicians, scientists and researchers working on neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) who want to present their research at the 24th Annual ENETS Conference.
The opportunity is particularly relevant to researchers working on gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs). ENETS considers applications based on scientific merit, making the quality and relevance of the applicant's research an important part of the selection process.
Unlike a general conference sponsorship, the grant is tied to an applicant's research contribution. Applicants must submit a conference abstract, and the abstract must be accepted for an ePoster presentation or a higher level of presentation before the travel grant can be awarded. This makes the opportunity most suitable for researchers who already have relevant research findings, an ongoing study with suitable results, or other scientific work that can be presented at the conference.
What the Grant Covers
The level of travel support depends on where the successful applicant is travelling from.
Applicants travelling from outside Europe can receive up to €800 toward eligible travel expenses, while applicants travelling from within Europe can receive up to €450.
The travel allowance may be used for economy-class air travel or second-class rail travel, together with eligible ground transportation. In addition, ENETS provides:
- Complimentary registration for the conference.
- Single-occupancy accommodation for up to three nights.
- Travel and hotel arrangements through the ENETS Office, where applicable.
The funding is therefore substantial but not a complete sponsorship of every cost involved in international attendance. Applicants should budget separately for expenses that exceed the travel allowance or fall outside the accommodation and travel arrangements provided by ENETS.
Successful recipients must also keep their eligible expense documentation. ENETS requires digital receipts and a completed expense claim form to be submitted within four weeks after the conference.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 35 years old or younger.
- Be an active ENETS member.
- Have a particular research interest in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP-NENs).
- Have a reasonable command of English.
- Be undergoing training or conducting research in a relevant discipline.
